Group and Corporate Days
A fly fishing tuition day can be arranged for small corporate groups, stag or hen parties or clubs wanting to offer their members a fly fishing workshop for the day. Normal maximum size for a group would be six people but it may be possible to cater for larger groups depending on just what is needed from the day. For larger corporate groups other facilities can include clay pigeon shooting, air rifle range, 4x4 buggies and go-carting as well as the fishing tuition, to provide a multi-interest day.
The day will start with an introduction to the style of fishing for the day and a look at the water to be fished together with an introduction to the extra safety issues of group participation. The day can be designed around the dynamics of the group but if, as is usual, the group consists mainly of beginners then Casting Tuition, Knots, basic Entomology and tackle set-up will form the order of the first part of the day. Fishing will then take over and I will move around the group making sure every one is getting the most out of their day and, hopefully catching fish.
Group days are particularly successful on smaller lakes but it is possible to cater for them on beats of the river Wye where all the available rods can be taken for the day giving a degree of exclusivity and privacy.
